According to “Opinion on development of super low energy consumption building” (the Opinion), Zhengzhou City will establish an incentive scheme for super low energy consumption buildings and finish more than 600,000 SQMs of new super low energy consumption buildings by 2020.

The Opinion said that by 2020, the City should establish the scheme, improve technology supporting system, significantly enhance the innovative and R&D capacities, initiate industry scale and realize scientific reformation of urban-rural mode.

It is identified that no less than 600,000 SQMs of new buildings must be finished.  Large public buildings and affordable housing projects should meet the requirements of super low energy consumption building standards, including operation and maintenance.  Meanwhile, the government encouraged the investments to super low energy consumption residential buildings.

By the end of 2020, the government will have a special financial budget on super low energy consumption buildings as following:

• 2018 demonstrations: 500 yuan per SQM subsidy, no more than 15 million yuan for one project;
• 2019 demonstrations: 400 yuan per SQM subsidy, no more than 12 million yuan for one project;
• 2020 demonstrations: 300 yuan per SQM subsidy, no more than 10 million yuan for one project.
