In January of 2018, China scroll compressor industry continued blooming, with higher growth rates of production and shipment than those in the same period of last year.

The output of China scroll compressor industry increased 27.78% to 425,500 units and the shipment increased 28.71% to 415,500 units.  Among them, the domestic shipment increased 40.89% to 359,000 units and export decreased 16.95% to 56,500 units.

Looking at the application, room air conditioners increased obviously keeping with over 30% growth rates of production and shipment, both in domestic and export.  Commercial air conditioners also maintained 40% increase, due to the Spring Festival in last January and high demand.  Especially, inverter multi splits, modular and unitary products boosted the sales of scroll compressors directly.

Scroll compressors export value increased 8.88% to USD 15.02 million and the unit price increased 31.10% to USD 266.17.  Most of leading manufacturers performed poor, except Danfoss and Johnson-Hitachi.  Brazil is still one of the main export destinations, but decreased 18%, followed by India, as an emerging market with obvious increase.  The export to Thailand sharply decreased to lower than 50% of last year.  The well performed markets included France, Korea and Japan.
