As we know, wind, solar and water are all clean energy.  In recent, with the energy consumption increased in the air conditioning, heating and refrigeration of buildings, air is becoming a new kind of clean energy in China.

Air is a kind of low temperature energy.  In 2009, EU identified air-source heat pump as one of renewable energy technology.  As the technology developing, there are more and more devices using air-source heat pump, such as air-source heat pump water heater, heating unit and dryer.  China is the largest air-source heat pump market in the world.

Comparing with conventional energy, the outstanding advantage of air is energy efficient and environmental protection.  Moreover, cloud and intelligent control and continual high efficient and stable operating make end users more comfortable.

As an emerging energy, many local governments of China issued a series of policies to encourage air-source heat pump application to residential and public buildings, as well as agriculture area, due to its potential of energy saving and emission reduction.  The data showed that air-source heat pump market increased to 2.3 million units in 2018 from 1.3 million units in 2014, with 17% of comprehensive annual growth rate.

The expert said, accelerating the clean energy technology innovation including air and establishing a clean, low carbon, security and high efficient energy system is the priority of energy structure transformation.
