Mentioned by Mr. Qi Chengyuan, deputy director of National Energy Administration at 2019 International forum on clean energy development, in 2018, China clean energy consumption accounted for 22.1% of the total energy consumption and non-fossil energy consumption accounted for 14.3%.  The installation capacity of hydropower, wind power and PV power in China is at the top of the world.

In recent, China insisted on clean, low carbon, safety and high efficient development, especially hydropower, wind energy and solar energy as priority.  China is accelerating the energy mix adjustment.

The data showed that in 2018, China installation capacity of renewable energy accumulated to 728 million kW, accounting for 38.3% of total power installation capacity.  Renewable energy is increasing yearly and has been the majority of energy mix.

China energy development strategy and roadmap (2014-2020) identified that the proportion of non-fossil energy in the primary energy consumption will be 15% by 2020 and 20% by 2030.  In the future, China will pursue to implement renewable energy strategy and develop energy, electricity power and renewable energy industry, which will provide a strong support to green and high qualified energy development and achieve the non-fossil energy consumption target.
