“Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades for low ambient temperature air source heat pump (water chiller) packages“ (GB 37480-2019) is officially released and will implemented on May 1st, 2020.

The Standards stipulates the energy efficiency grades, technical requirements and test method of low ambient temperature air source heat pump (water chiller) packages.  It is applied to air-water type low ambient temperature air source heat pump (water chiller) packages with motor driven, low ambient temperature air source heat pump for heating, commercial and industrial heat pump for heating, except low ambient temperature air source multi splits and air-air type low ambient temperature air source heat pump package.

There are three grades based on IPLV as follow:

 

Air source heat pump application is blooming in the whole country, whatever North or South.  Low temperature environment is a challenge for air source heat pump when it operates in North China.  But with the comprehensive advanced technology on low temperature and super-low temperature, it is accepted by more and more clients.  Absolutely, the policies and standard will drive the market.
