Data from national energy working conference, 2018 was a bright year for clean energy industry.  The national renewable energy installation capacity broke 700 million kW, with the installation capacities of hydropower, wind power and PV power to 350 million kW, 180 million kW and 170 million kW.  The water energy utilization was about 95%.

The clean heating in North China is predicted to about 1.55 billion SQMs, accounting for 46% of the total.

Director of National Energy Bureau (NEB) suggested to improving the development of high quality energy and reaching the proportion of coal consumption down to 58.5%.
