Co-released by National Development and Reform Commission and General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China, revised “Energy efficiency label management method” will be taken into effect on June 1^st.

The official name is China Energy Label which basically includes manufacturer’s name, product’s specification, energy efficiency grade and index, national standard number and information code, as well as the information of “top runner” products.

The energy labeling system is an important market-oriented energy saving management method to improve the efficiency of energy products.  It effectively promotes the spread of high efficient products in China, continually increases the public awareness and upgrades the energy technologies and optimizes the products structure.

The new version of Management Method strengthens the requirements on supervision object, illegal object confirmation and new market principle part, and adds the energy efficiency information code.

Moreover, the new version adds the online trading as the new market and clearly confirms that the online distributors must upload the energy label in the related webpage.
