Green low carbon eco-city must mix with environmental quality, service and people’s satisfaction, and lower than 10% of dissatisfaction rate, all of above are proposed in the “Green Low Carbon Eco City Assessment Standard” by Chongqing Government.

According to the Standard, the major requirements include:

1. New building with 2+ Star or golden labeling is accounting for no less than 30% of the total;
2. 100% of living garbage collection and transportation;
3. 100% of intelligent penetration rate in the new buildings;
4. Ratio of green space is no lower than 30%;
5. The ratio of urban air quality with “good” and “excellent” is no lower than 80%;
6. Renewable energy application area is no less than 10%;
7. Recycled water network coverage is no less than 20%;
8. Recycled living garbage treatment should be over 50%.
