Hefei Urban Waste Water Heats Residence
Learned from Hefei Thermoelectric Group, a first comprehensive energy utilization project – district heating/cooling project in Hubin District is initiated that takes full advantages of ground heat pump, waste water heat pump, ice storage, natural gas distributed energy and urban heating source, with over 50% of renewable energy application, which effectively ensure the system more reliable, safe and stable.
The project’s investment will total to 700 million yuan and reduce 32.69% of initial cost and 29.89% of annual air conditioning operation cost, with significant economic benefits by using district heating/cooling system, according to the samples economic feasibility analysis.
According to the study, it can reduce 80,833 tons of CO2, equivalent to add 3,322 mu forest areas as soon as the project put into operation, compared with traditional air conditioning system.
Moreover, the temperature in summer could be decreased by 1-2℃ without outdoor units and cooling towers that usually cause heat island effect. The project will efficiently improve eco environment and interpret the concept of ecology, harmonization, environmental protection and emission reduction.
