Announced by Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Hebei Province, new 40 million SQMs of energy efficiency buildings and 16.25 million SQMs of renewable application areas were finished in 2014.

Developing green building and establishing energy saving province is one of the priorities to achieve the targets of energy saving, emission reduction and atmosphere pollution prevention in Hebei Province.  Since 2014, many cities have been mandatory implementing energy efficiency building standards, such as Baoding and Tangshan, with 75% new buildings compliant with energy efficiency building standards.

Hebei Province accelerated to build passive and super-low energy consumption green building demonstrations, as well as green building labeling.  Until now, there are totaling 116 certified green buildings.
