Mr. Dai Ming, Deputy Director of Innovation and Technology Development of National Development and Reform Commission pointed out that world energy development is changing with a new round of technical revolution and industry reformation, renewable energy is becoming a major part of clean, low carbon, security and high efficient energy system.
China government is actively promoting energy consumption, supply and institutional revolution, strengthening international cooperation, developing renewable energy including wind and solar, accelerating the optimal energy mix and transformation of clean and low carbon energy.  The installation capacity of wind power, PV and hydropower ranks the top 1 of the world and the installation capacity of renewable energy accounts for over 30% of the total.  China is the world largest country in energy saving and renewable energy utilization, contributing to the world energy transformation.
Mr. Dai emphasized that China will continue to 1) improve technology innovation, accelerate R&D on critical materials and cutting-edge technology, and enhance renewable energy competitiveness; 2) optimize development models and accelerate the integration of renewable, big data and internet; 3) improve the renewable energy standards and incentives, in order to increase the percentage of renewable energy and inspire the inner motion; 4) deepen international cooperation and explore the application of new technology, new industry and new modes, so as to push the source and achievements sharing.
Green, low carbon and sustainable development is the common aspiration of the countries in the world.  Addressing the energy and environment issues is the common responsibility of whole world.  China will strengthen the dialogue and cooperation to promote the high quality development of renewable energy.
