As one of huge energy consumers, air conditioning manufacturers is upgrading their products through energy saving as the most important method.

Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades for unitary air conditioners (GB 19576-2019) was released this April and will be implanted on May 1st of 2020.

The revising parts include 1) the assessment system changes from EER to APF; 2) new standard covers fix speed products and inverter products; 3) put the energy efficiency of ducted air conditioner as a single standard, named as “Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades for ducted air conditioner”(GB 37479-2019); 4) the new standard is also applied to water –cooled unit, air conditioner for computer room and data center, etc.

This is a mandatory standard with official implementation on May 1st of 2020, which is applied to air-source heat pump (water chiller) with motor driven and operating at low ambient temperature, covering air-cooled and water-cooled low ambient air-source heat pump (chiller) unit, low ambient temperature air-source heat pump hot water unit, low ambient temperature commercial and industrial heat pump hot water unit.

The Standard will accelerate the technology upgrading and product transforming, which ensures product's safety and reliability.
