Abstract：
The long term danger of inhaling chemicals in a chemistry laboratory is widely undermined, and the safety of fume hoods, supposed to protect against the inhalation of chemicals is much more complex than users think. Intends to help chemists understanding what safety level they should expect from a ducted fume hood and from ductless filtering fume hoods recirculating air into the laboratory room.
