  China light commercial AC compressors shipment increased by 37.3% in October
According to the data from ChinaIOL, in October, China light commercial AC compressors shipment increased by 28.4%, to 1,531,000 units. Among them, the light commercial scroll compressors shipped 347,000 units with 31.3% of growth rate and the light commercial rotate compressor shipped 1,184,000 units with 27.6% of growth rate.

New building technologies in China
Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China released "New technologies for buildings (2017)", including 107 technologies of 10 sectors. Guided by China’s national development strategies, combined with innovative management and domestic and international technology development, the document is a first programmatic policy for building industry. The revision updates not only traditional technologies but also those in the key industries of the "Thirteen Five-year Plan", covering green buildings, industrialization, informatization and disaster prevention.

Global HFC phase down becomes reality
A flurry of countries ratifying the Kigali amendment in November of 2017 has ensured that the global HFC phase down will come into force on 1st January 2019. On November 17th, Sweden became the 20th party to deposit its instrument of ratification to the Kigali Amendment. Those joining Sweden that week included Maldives, UK, Finland, Germany, Laos, Luxembourg, Slovakia and Trinidad and Tobago. Many other countries are said to be on the verge of ratification.
