It is of a great practical significance to study the effect of climate change on energy consumption of heating and air conditioning industry, because the energy consumption is sensitive to the change of environment temperature. There are some differences between the confirmation of China's outdoor air design conditions and others such as ASHRAE and those in Japan and UK.

High efficient and low nitrogen technology seminar for gas-fired boilers
• Time: March 31st
• Venue: World People's Palace Hotel, Beijing
As statistics, natural gas consumption in Beijing will reach 35 billion cubic meters by 2020, increased from 15 billion cubic meters in 2015. Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau revised and implemented "Emission standard of air pollutants for boilers" to strictly control the emission of NOx. The cap of mission will be at 30 mg/m3 after April 1st of 2017, further down from 80 mg/m3 in 2016.

9th Retrofitting technologies conference for existing buildings
• Time: April 20th-21st
• Venue: New Fangzhou Hotel, Hunan
New buildings and existing buildings retrofitting have become the new normal of China construction industry. To push the development of new urbanization and advanced energy retrofitting technology, China Academy of Building Research will organize a technology conference in Changsha of Hunan including 6 sub-conferences: green livable retrofitting, indoor environment and healthy building, low energy consumption retrofitting, building industrialization and green retrofitting, green materials application, building energy efficiency and air quality improvement for hospitals.

China promotes modernized building industry development
According to the comments of "Opinions on further strengthening urban planning and constructing management" released by the State Council, China is promoting the building industry modernization from four aspects: encouraging smart and prefabricated buildings, enhancing the design level, strengthening technology R&D and application and improving related standards.

China green building's "Post-evaluation era" is coming
Green buildings are blooming in China, with the number of accumulative green buildings labeling projects and green building areas reaching 4,314 and over 500 million SQMs by June of 2016, respectively. Post-evaluation for green building will benefit to green building's sustainable development and impact its future. The post-evaluation covers the whole life cycle including design, construction, operation, information feedback and waste recovery.

Australian state passes bill to reduce emissions to zero by 2050
The legislature of Victoria, Australia has passed a climate change bill committing the state to reduce emissions to zero by 2050. Achieving this would imply phasing out super-pollutants like hydroflurocarbons (HFCs). HFCs are some of the fastest-growing climate pollutants. R404A, an HFC commonly used in refrigeration and air-conditioning, has a global warming potential (GWP) of 3,922 (in other words, 3,922 times that of carbon dioxide).
