| Coal is still a major fuel in Chinese heating system which causes environment pollution and severe haze. Increasing clean energy deployment and energy efficiency to reduce the emission of pollutants and strengthening renewable heating system research and pilots will significantly guarantee people's welfare, protect environment and promote sustainable development. |

| China will increase the share of natural gas in the primary energy consumption during the "Thirteenth Five-year Plan". Accelerating the natural gas infrastructure construction is the majority in next 5 years. With the implementation of “Coal-to-gas” program, gas fired water heaters welcomed great opportunity in 2016, achieving to 802,000 units during the first 8 months and 12.3% of year-to-year growth rate. |

The Report analyses the building energy consumption data in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Sichuan during the years of 2001-2014. It shows that in 2014, national building energy consumption was about 814 million tons of standard coal, accounting for 19.12% of total national energy consumption. How to evaluate green campus in China? "Evaluation Standard for Green Campus" (The Standard) will be a technology tool to evaluate the green levels of new, retrofitting and extension of existing primary and secondary schools, vocational schools and universities. US confirms R134a chiller ban in 2024 USA: A number of common refrigerants, including R134a, R410A and R407C, will be banned from use in new chillers in the USA from January 1, 2024. The bans are one of a number of changes to the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Significant New Alternatives Policy programme (SNAP) regulations, published on December 1st of 2017 in the Federal Register. The gases affected are the higher GWP HFCs and the higher GWP blends, originally designed as interim retrofit gases. |
