Clean energy is booming in China in recent years, especially the "coal-to-electricity", "coal-to-gas" and "coal-to-clean energy" incentives gained more interest, which bring great opportunities to air source heat pump industry. Featuring with feasible installation and safe, more and more air source heat pumps are applied to public buildings to meet all needs of buildings, including cooling, heating and water heating, which be helpful to improve people's living quality, environment, energy efficiency and emission reduction.
• Air source heat pump application to cold climate region

Technology conference on natural cold source application to data center in west region of China
The cloud computing application accelerates the coming of big data and big storage era, which makes green being the heart of future data center. The energy efficiency of data center is vital when entering into PUE 1.5 era. Most of data centers, especially those in the west of China, are fully utilizing natural sources to reduce their dependence on electricity and decrease PUE value. Held on August 23rd in Xi'an of Shannxi, the Conference will deeply discuss the development trend and technology of green data center, promote the natural cold source application in the West, share more successful cases and reduce the energy consumption.

2016 Conference on HVAC Design for City Complex
City complex is facing the rapid development driven by China's urbanization, becoming a major part of urban construction. Based on many large buildings and complicate interior spaces and types, the designers should consider the multi requirements and harmonization among different functional areas. Organized by Journal of HV&AC, the Conference will invite famous designers and experts to discuss the design ideas and problems, introduce best practice and share more experience.

Transport, industry and flexibility are the greatest challenges in achieving a carbon-neutral Nordic energy system
Through regional cooperation, the Nordic countries can achieve a near carbon-neutral energy system by 2050, while contributing to European decarbonisation through the export of clean electricity. This is the central message of Nordic Energy Technology Perspectives 2016 published by the International Energy Agency and Nordic Energy Research, which reveals that a near carbon-neutral energy system will require a dramatic restructuring of the transport sector, accelerated innovation to reduce industrial emissions, and greater flexibility in the energy system to handle higher shares of variable renewables.

CCAC and UNDP present preliminary results of emissions estimates from first 6 HFC inventories
One of the main challenges for developing countries wanting to taking action on hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) has been the relatively limited data on HFC use and projected demand in these countries. To help remedy this situation, the CCAC's HFC Initiative started national level inventories in 14 developing countries to record current and projected future use of HFCs, as well as to outline opportunities to avoid growth in high global warming potential (GWP) HFCs.

Purdue: F-gas phase-down driving HVAC&R innovation
Leading researchers on heating and cooling are gathering at Purdue University, Indiana to share knowledge on technological innovations that can help deliver the objectives of new environmental legislation. Purdue Conferences 2016, a simultaneous series covering research in the HVAC&R sector, is taking place at West Lafayette in the U.S. state of Indiana from July 11-14. Reilly Professor of Mechanical Engineering Eckhard Groll, the general conference chair, said: "This year's conferences are happening at a time when key international decisions are helping to define the direction of issues related to the environment, climate change, solar and other technologies."
