Vol.46
No.11
Seen as renewable energy, waste heat is widely used in many sectors. According to statistics, the accumulative waste heat from different sectors is accounting for 15-67% of their total fuel consumption. 60% of waste heat source can be recovered and reused. March issue introduces some case studies.
• Analysis of large enthalpy difference lab using high-temperature heat pump to recover condensing heat
• Applicability research on ground-source heat pump system based on building load characteristics
• Technical scheme and energy-saving potential analysis of flue gas condensing heat deep-recovery in large gas-fired boilers

The meaning of health is diverse and extensive. People living in cities spend almost 80%-90% of time in buildings, so the indoor environment has significant impact on people's health and productivity. The indoor environment evaluation includes disease prevention, comfort, efficiency and mental satisfaction. March issue is to discuss PM2.5 and indoor air quality.
• Discussion on control strategy of indoor air quality
• Experimental study on anti-haze effect of residential fresh air system
• Case Study: application of Hitachi FLEXMULTI product to cold climate

The 2nd Data Center Air Conditioning Design Conference
The development of data center in China has entered into a high speed period as the coming of cloud computing era. Maximizing to reduce the energy consumption of data center with high reliability is one of the hot topics, which makes the green data center as an inevitable trend. According to the "Guideline on development and deployment of data center" released by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT), it identifies that the power usage effectiveness (PUE) of new large cloud computing data center should be lower than 1.5, and exist data center should be lower than 2.0 through integrating, retrofitting and upgrading. Co-organized by Journal of HV&AC and China Construction Technology Consulting Co., Ltd., the 2nd Data Center Air Conditioning Design Conference will introduce the green data center, case studies, experience on operation and management and energy efficiency technologies by system design, equipment research, and operation and onsite measurement.

China intensified supervision for cleaning of central air conditioning system
China's local health administrative departments have inspected the cleaning and disinfection of central air conditioning system. The results find that there have persons in charge of the management, cleaning and maintenance of ventilation system in the public buildings. Most of fresh air vents are in the reasonable places equipped with filters, emergency shutdown, regional operating and cleaning windows, as well as the regular components cleaning of filters, cooling towers and air handling units and recording reports.
China launched standards for comprehensive utility tunnel and sponge city construction
Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural of China (MOHURD) officially published the design system standards for city comprehensive utility tunnel and the sponge city construction, to guide the construction of underground pipe gallery and the sponge city. There is a large cap between developed countries and China in the construction of sponge city and underground utility tunnel, especially technology and management.
Global green building expected to double by 2018
The study, World Green Building Trends 2016, Developing Markets Accelerate Global Green Growth, finds that the percentage of companies expecting to have more than 60 per cent of their building projects certified green is anticipated to more than double by 2018, from 18 per cent currently, to 37 per cent. The anticipated growth will largely be driven by countries that still have developing green markets, with firms from Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, China and India reporting dramatic growth in the percentage of their projects that they expect to certify as green.
