The total capacity of inverter air conditioners was nearly 30 million units in 2014. As air pollution is responsible for around 400,000 premature deaths in the EU yearly, Environment MEPs tightened up Commission plans and called for more ambitious national caps on emissions of six main pollutants, in order to cut emissions by 70% across the EU and save €40bn in air pollution costs by 2030.
Public comment commences on proposed new refrigeration standards
Standards Australia has released for public comment five proposed new Australian/New Zealand Standards for refrigeration systems and refrigerants, AS/NZS ISO 817:2015, Refrigerants – Designation and safety classification, and AS/NZS 5149,Refrigerating systems and heat pumps - Safety and environmental requirements, Parts 1 to 4.
