Investigation and analysis of residential building energy consumption in Kunming

Investigates the residential building energy consumption in Kunming through questionnaires and summarizes the basic information of buildings, family structures and energy use equipment types. Evaluates the satisfaction degree of indoor thermal comfort of residents in Kunming under the conditions of no air conditioning in summer and no heating in winter. 94.5% of residents consider indoor thermal comfort acceptable, relatively satisfied and satisfied under no air conditioning in summer condition, while the proportion decreases to 64.4% under no heating in winter condition, indicating a certain heating demand of residential buildings in Kunming. The energy consumption quota (calculated by standard coal) is 4.67 kg/(m2·a) in this investigation, which indicates that it has great advantages to carry out the energy conservation work of residential buildings and develop near-zero energy consumption buildings in temperate zone represented by Kunming.
