In order to understand the actual ventilation and purification status of indoor PM2.5 in residences, tests the indoor PM2.5 concentration, the operating power of air purifiers and mechanical outdoor air systems, and the on-off state of external windows in the living rooms and bedrooms of 15 apartments in Beijing. Based on the relative duration of indoor PM2.5 mass concentration below 35 μg/m3 under different outdoor PM2.5 pollution levels, puts forward the concept of indoor PM2.5 purification time compliance rate, and analyses the effect of outdoor PM2.5 pollution level and room ventilation and purification strategy on indoor PM2.5 purification time compliance rate. The results show that the existing ventilation and purification strategy described by the window opening frequency and running ratio of air purifiers is not ideal. The indoor PM2.5 environment can be improved by optimizing the ventilation and purification strategy when outdoor PM2.5 pollution level is from mild to severe.
