Taking a typical automobile parts machining workshop as an object, investigates the production process and analyses the basic principle of oil mist emission. In order to monitor the dynamic level of oil mist concentration in the air of the workshop, develops an on-line monitoring system for oil mist concentration, carries out a continuous test on oil mist concentration in the workshop, analyses the relationship between oil mist concentration at typical locations and regional equipment, investigates the installation of oil mist purifiers in the workshop equipment and tests the air rate and outlet concentration of oil mist purifiers. The results show that the concentration of oil mist in the respiratory area of the workshop is significantly higher than that recommended by American National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) (0.5 mg/m3), and the source control of oil mist emission is very important, among various kinds of purification equipment, such as filtration, centrifugation and static electricity, the outlet concentration of electrostatic purification equipment is the lowest, maintaining a high air rate.
