Summarizes the related research on the capture performance of range hood at home and abroad, and analyses the problems existing in the description of real capture performance by the degree of normal odor reduction factors in the standard of range hood in China, Europe and the United States. Constructs a new method for measuring the capture efficiency of household range hoods. By setting controllable characteristic pollution and stable emission, monitors the relatively stable exhaust concentration and pollutant concentration in the kitchen space, and calculates the pollution capture efficiency of range hoods. Sets up an experimental platform, and studies the effects of range hood structure, exhaust air rate, heat source intensity and emission position on the capture efficiency by this new method. The multi-factor comparative experimental results of two new types of range hood show that the capture efficiency test method has good stability. In the range of low air rate (exhaust air rate is less than 600 m3/h), the difference of capture efficiency caused by exhaust air rate is as high as 20.6%, and there is no significant change when exhaust air rate reaches 600 m3/h. The difference of capture efficiency caused by the structure difference of the two new types is 7.3%, and that caused by the change of heat source intensity is only 4.0%. The difference of capture efficiency caused by different emission position is 15.1%.
