The composite displacement heat exchanger based on the plate heat pipe is a new type of heat exchanger using the flat micro heat pipe array technology as a basic heat exchange unit and combining the advantages of the displacement heat exchanger and the plate heat exchanger. The difference of heat transfer rate between the evaporating and condensing ends of the flat micro heat pipe results in some problems of heat exchange matching between the evaporating and the condensing ends. Based on the results of previous studies, proposes two optimal schemes of adding aluminum fins on the heat pipe of the evaporating end of the new heat exchanger and adding the drainage channel to the water inlet of the evaporating end. Verifies the results of the two schemes by the corresponding experiments. The experimental data analysis shows that the optimal finned heat exchanger has better heat transfer performance. When the heat exchange rate is about 1 500 W, the efficiency can be 0.4, and the entransy efficiency can be 0.68. Compared with the prototype composite displacement heat exchanger, the optimal heat exchanger has better practical heat transfer performance.
