Summary of energy saving operation optimization practice of a data center in Shenzhen

The high energy consumption of data center is one of the main factors restricting its healthy and rapid development. Aiming at the widely used water-cooled centralized air conditioning system, the energy consumption analysis of the main energy-using equipment and the operation status analysis of the air conditioning equipment are summarized. The energy saving optimization results of the case project show that although it is located in Shenzhen, a humid and hot zone, only the traditional water-cooled air conditioning system is used, and the annual power usage effectiveness (PUE) of the data center can be reduced to 1.243, which is far lower than the design index of 1.4.
