Air conditioning system design for a data center in Hainan

Combining the specific local climate conditions of the project, this paper comprehensively compares various air conditioning system schemes, calculates and analyses the energy saving effect, initial investment, operating cost and other aspects, and finds the suitable energy saving design of the air conditioning system for this project. The air conditioning design starts from the characteristics of the system architecture, uses the refrigeration capacity of the standby unit, and combines the advantages of high partial load efficiency of the magnetic levitation chiller. In actual operation, the chillers fully operate. The load rate of the chiller is 70% to 80%, and the COP of the magnetic levitation chiller can reach above 15. With the optimized selection of cooling towers and the new air conditioning terminal, the PUE can be reduced to below 1.3.
