Constant pressure difference schemes for distributed district cooling transmission secondary pump system of Xiamen New Airport

Based on the dynamic mathematical model of pipe network, under the control schemes of constant pressure difference at beginning (the first user branch of the main line) and constant pressure difference at end (the most unfavorable hydraulic user location), quantitatively analyses the annual operating conditions and total energy consumption of the pipeline pumps and user pumps of the distributed district cooling transmission secondary pump system of Xiamen New Airport. The results show that, compared with the scheme of constant pressure difference at end, the circulating pump motor capacity of the scheme of constant pressure difference at beginning is lower by 11.1%, the annual operating power consumption is lower by 15.6%, and the annual operating efficiency of pipeline pumps and user pumps is higher. For the project, the scheme of constant pressure difference at beginning is recommended for its advantages of small investment, low operating cost, and relatively simple and reliable operation control.
